Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-09-18
Effective: on the public release of app v1.0.0

Do. LLC (“we”) sets out below how information is handled in the mobile app “yoruoto” (the “App”).

1. Our approach

The App is local-first: sound synthesis and data storage both happen entirely on your device. Sounds are generated on the device, so there are no audio files to download. The mixes you create and your settings are stored only on your device and are never sent to or synchronised with our servers.

2. Information we do not collect

3. Information stored on your device

The App stores the following on your device (Hive / shared_preferences). None of it is sent to our servers.

ItemPurposeWhere
Saved mixes (name, per-sound volume, order)Recalling a mix and loading one at startupOn device
Playback settings (master volume, play alongside other apps, auto-resume)Persisting your settingsOn device
Appearance (theme, background visual, background dimming, language)Persisting your settingsOn device
Last timer settings (duration, fade, notification, lock screen)Reusing the same settings next timeOn device
Pro entitlement state and the expiry of a 24-hour reward unlockDeciding which sounds are unlockedOn device
Whether onboarding has been completedShowing the intro only onceOn device

4. When the App uses the network

There are exactly two moments when the App communicates with anything outside your device, and both happen only when you choose them.

(1) When you choose to watch a reward video

When you open the Pro sheet from a locked sound, the App initialises the Google AdMob SDK, obtains consent (UMP) and fetches an ad. Watching the video unlocks that sound for 24 hours. If you never open the Pro sheet, the ad SDK is never initialised and no request is made.

AdMob may collect and use the following to serve and optimise ads:

(2) When you buy Pro or restore a purchase

To buy or restore Pro (a one-time purchase) and to display its price, the App communicates with the App Store / Google Play and with RevenueCat, Inc. (United States), which manages purchases. RevenueCat handles the purchase receipt issued by the store, an anonymous user identifier it generates automatically, and device and app version information. We never receive or hold payment details such as card numbers.

Opting out of the advertising identifier

On iOS you can decline tracking in the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. The App shows that prompt only immediately before you watch a video. Declining does not limit any feature of the App.

5. Device permissions

PermissionPurpose
Internet accessFetching a reward ad; buying or restoring Pro
NotificationsTelling you the sleep timer has finished (optional; can be turned off)
Advertising ID (Android)Use of the advertising ID by AdMob
Tracking (iOS / ATT)Use of the advertising ID for personalised ads (optional)
Choosing and saving filesExporting / importing mixes (Pro)

The App never uses the microphone, camera, location, contacts or photos. All sound is synthesised on the device; nothing is recorded.

6. Exporting and importing mixes

Saved mixes can be exported to and imported from a JSON file (Pro). This feature uses no network. An exported file is written wherever you choose to put it, and what happens to it afterwards is your responsibility; we never access it.

7. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed at a particular age group and does not collect age information. Children under 13 should use it with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.

8. Retention and deletion

Data stored on your device is kept until you do one of the following.

Because there are no accounts, there is no data held by us for you to request the deletion of.

9. Security

Data is stored on your device. This version does not encrypt stored data, but because nothing leaves the device, it is protected by your device’s own security (screen lock and so on).

10. Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy as the law or the App changes. A revised policy takes effect when it is published on this page.
